First School is a mission of First United Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. As a private Christian preschool and Mother’s Day Out program with an accredited Kindergarten, we value and respect all religions. We also take our role in the spiritual lives of children seriously. First School is proud to be a place that fosters the growth and connection of children with their spirituality.
The staff of FUPC holds chapel for the children of First School each week. Chapel includes a Bible story, songs, and a short prayer. We encourage you to talk about the story with your child and to explain the message as you and your family understand it.
FUPC holds a First School Sunday each year and makes efforts throughout the year to support the school, the teachers, and the families. Families are welcome to church services and events. Some First School events, such as the Kindergarten Graduation ceremony, take place in church buildings, and First school is located on the FUPC campus.
FUPC offers a wide range of family activities throughout the year and First School families are always invited. Some of the regular activities:
- Fall Festival
- Hike and Bike (and Trike) outings with the Happy Hikers
- Celebration at the Manger
- Service opportunities like picking parties for disaster assistance
- Seasonal events for Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter
- Vacation Bible School
